Shift Briefing

Overview

The Shift Briefing solution is part of Airpoint’s Mobile Policing Suite (MPS) of applications which has been designed and developed by working closely with forces throughout the UK.

Today, the vast majority of officers start their shift in the station in order to receive their shift briefing. This briefing is generally used to provide specific information to officers relating to current initiatives, crime hotspots, wanted persons etc… Such a briefing can be relatively time consuming and as such takes away from an officer’s community policing commitments.

Working with the police, Airpoint have developed and successfully deployed the Shift Briefing application which sends the briefing to the officer at the start of their shift. Consequently, the officers no longer have to come to the station to receive this information and can start their shift in community.
